DEFINITION
Source Selection Plan

A formal written document which sets forth the source selection organization and
management chain for a specific acquisition. It provides a guide for evaluators on how to conduct the evaluation, it details the criteria to be used to evaluate the offers
received in a competition procurement, and it establishes a basis upon which to
distinguish between proposals and to make an award. The SSP is written by the
Program Office and approved by the SSA.
