DEFINITION
Natural Space Environment

The natural environment which exists above the sensible atmosphere. Space begins
approximately 100 km and above. This environment is applicable to orbiting space
craft, to interceptors in the exoatmospheric portions of flight, and it affects the
propagation of radar and communications signals.
