DEFINITION
Joint Requirements Oversight Council

A council, chaired by the Vice Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, that conducts
requirements analyses, determines the validity of mission needs and develops
recommended joint priorities for those needs it approves, and validates performance objectives and thresholds in support of the Defense Acquisition Board. Council members include the Vice Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.
