F-Test
"F-test": test - a statistical test designed to test if two population variances are equal. It does this by comparing the ratio of two variances. Therefore, if the variances are equal, the ratio of the variances will be 1. The F-distribution is formed by the ratio of two independent chi-square variables divided by their respective degrees of freedom
F-Test

Ordinarily, the ratio of two independent estimates of a common variance.

It is used as a significance test in analysis of variance and is known in this regard as the F- test.
