Asset Purchase Facility

"Asset purchase facility": (APF). An arrangement established in January 2009 under which the Bank of England is authorised to buy high-quality private sector assets including: - corporate bonds, - securities issued under the Credit Guarantee Scheme, - syndicated loans and - asset-backed securities created in structures acceptable to the Bank.
