Performs the assigned materiel functions of the Department of the Army, including research and development; product improvement; human factors engineering; test and evaluation; procurement and production; new equipment training; scientific and technical intelligence production; international logistics programs; and storage, distribution, maintenance, demilitarization, and disposal for the continental United States wholesale supply and maintenance systems as well as for overseas systems.
